Center Parcs opens its doors to new worlds with WePlayVR installation


AiSolve is celebrating its latest WePlayVR installation at one of the largest holiday parks in the UK.

We are pleased to officially unveil our popular location-based attraction, WePlayVR, along with two of our classic games at Center Parcs, Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire.

Alongside this we have installed an Augmented Reality Window created by Ads Reality, allowing visitors to Center Parcs to be carried aloft by a giant digital eagle. The possibilities with this are endless and provides a small taste of what can be achieved.

Center Parcs, who’s been dominating the holiday parks industry for many years, is now home to our classic 3x3m free-roaming plug-and-play platform, WePlayVR, that comes packed with highly interactive custom games plus a haptic floor that provides instant feedback during gameplay.

Already known for its exciting outdoor activities, Center Parcs now has a fun to use and easy to operate location-based VR attraction that has been thrilling users across the globe at other destinations.

WePlayVR is continuously a favourite for players worldwide, with 23 live locations since first launching a year ago. Now, we’re excited to bring that same momentum to a brand-new destination.

Although Center Parcs is known for its open surroundings where families can enjoy large playing areas in an outdoor space, with WePlayVR players now have the option to walk around vast landscapes indoors with infinite experiences in a finite space. Roaming around becomes endless once they step inside the WePlayVR arena and put on their VR headset.

To make the WePlayVR experience even more fun, a new bonus feature has been added to all our arenas. Now, players can enjoy a competitive leaderboard system. This gives them the chance to keep track of how well they’re doing against opponents, building competition and more excitement between players.

Adventure-lovers will enjoy experiencing both immersive gaming titles that come equipped with this new installation: Mayan Adventure and Alien Invasion.

Mayan Adventure, our very first game title for WePlayVR is set inside a Mayan Ruin, where players go on a mysterious adventure in search of a lost golden statue guarded by a serpent God. With twists and turns, players are transported into a world of the unknown and unexpected.

Our second game title, called Alien Invasion, is a completely different experience. Players are trapped inside a nuclear reactor under attack by unknown space creatures. Players are given the chance to become heroes by solving puzzles and fending off the invaders.

Additionally, Ads Reality are specialists in creating mesmerising Augmented Reality experiences for large and mobile screens. Their clients include Microsoft, Warner Bros. and Heathrow Airport for whom they have created AR experiences that have dovetailed into their product launches and marketing campaigns.
