We are proud to announce that we will be attending the AR/VR Vision Summit hosted by Unity in Los Angeles next week.
The AR/VR vision summit is an event for artists, engineers, programmers, designers, musicians, directors, producers, hardware manufacturers and researchers. The event is aimed at anyone who is developing virtual and/or augmented reality content in Unity
AiSolve’s team of game developers and artists have extensive experience of working with Unity platform where they have created suite of 3D immersive training contents across industries for cross platforms including PC, Web, Mobile and VR headsets. In 2016, AiSolve collaborated with healthcare subject experts from Children hospital LA and creative experts from Bioflight to produce Artificial Intelligence driven VR training simulation content to train physicians for the stresses and rigors of working in emergency situations within a paediatric hospital (specifically seizures and allergic reactions). The project is sponsored by Facebook/Oculus where we have used the Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch controllers to create a gripping and engaging skill based immersive training experience. The simulation is designed to be highly interactive and non-linear in its training approach which replicates the human behaviours and reactions closer to the real world. This enables the trainees to safely practice their skills and intuitively build their confidence of working under stressful environments using the power of Virtual Reality. Not only that, our proprietary AI powered gameplay and analytics system personalises the training content based on the user behaviour and captures every detail of their actions and their intuitive reactions throughout the training scenario. This enables their assessors and themselves to perform more accurate assessment of their performance and continue their training until they perfect their skill. Currently, doctors train using mannequins which don’t prompt the same pressure and emotional response (as well as being expensive to organise and execute) nor captures any valuable feedback of their performance.
Our CEO Devi Kolli and Head of Simulations Thomas Dolby will be present at this AR/VR Vision Summit in LA next week where we will be discussing our project developer in-sights along with our collaborators at 10.45am on 2 May at the Loews Hotel, Hollywood.
The presentation will include how we went about developing it, what we learnt and giving advice to other developers that may be interested in pursuing a similar project.
Other topics on the panel include:
- Healthcare education has been around for thousands of years. How does VR/AR change the landscape of training physicians and healthcare providers?
- What are the lessons learned from collaborating with non-medical practitioners who are experts in technology?
- What do developers who are interested in forging a similar collaboration for healthcare training need to know?
